Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
Questions about these terms? Contact us at hello@freetoolkit.io.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using FreeToolKit.io (“the Site”, “we”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Site. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you may not access the Site.
By using FreeToolKit you represent that you are at least 13 years of age, or that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Site if you are under 18. Our tools are intended for general audiences and do not require account creation.
2. What FreeToolKit Provides
FreeToolKit provides free, browser-based utility tools covering PDF manipulation, image processing, text and writing assistance, financial calculations, developer utilities, AI-assisted content, and SEO and web tools. All tools are provided at no charge with no usage caps for core functionality.
Most tools run entirely inside your browser: no files, text, or data are transmitted to our servers during processing. A small number of tools (AI writing, exchange rate lookups) make server-side API calls; we identify these clearly in the tool interface and in our privacy policy. Where a third-party API is involved, the data you submit is subject to that provider's terms as well as ours.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any tool at any time without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain existing tools, but we do not guarantee continuous availability.
3. Acceptable Use
You may use FreeToolKit tools for personal, educational, or commercial purposes provided your use complies with these Terms and applicable law. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Process files or content that you do not own or have the right to use, including copyrighted material uploaded without permission.
- Use the tools to create, distribute, or assist with content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or invasive of another person's privacy.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract content from the Site in a way that imposes unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Use AI-assisted tools to generate content that is deliberately deceptive, constitutes spam, or is intended to manipulate search engine rankings in violation of search engine guidelines.
- Misrepresent tool outputs as the work of a licensed professional (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise) without appropriate review and attribution.
- Use the tools in any manner that could expose FreeToolKit to liability or reputational harm.
We reserve the right to block access from IP addresses or networks that abuse the Site, with or without prior notice.
4. Accuracy and No Professional Advice
FreeToolKit tools are designed to be accurate for their stated purposes, but we make no warranty that any output is error-free, complete, or suitable for any specific use. Tool results should always be reviewed before being relied upon.
Finance calculators (mortgage, paycheck, retirement, compound interest) use standard formulas and up-to-date IRS figures for illustrative purposes only. They do not constitute financial, tax, or legal advice. Any significant financial decision should be reviewed with a licensed professional before action is taken.
AI-assisted tools generate probabilistic outputs that may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or outdated information. Content produced by AI tools should be reviewed, fact-checked, and edited before publication or professional use.
5. No Warranty
All tools and content on FreeToolKit are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or viruses.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusions of implied warranties. In those jurisdictions, the above exclusions apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FreeToolKit and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Site or any tool, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Because FreeToolKit is provided free of charge, our maximum aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (zero, for free use) or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
7. Intellectual Property
The FreeToolKit name, logo, site design, and underlying tool code are proprietary to FreeToolKit. You may not copy, reproduce, decompile, reverse-engineer, or redistribute our tool code without explicit written permission.
Content you process with our tools — your files, documents, images, and data — remains entirely your property. We claim no ownership, license, or rights over content you process through the Site.
Blog content published on FreeToolKit.io is the intellectual property of its named authors and FreeToolKit. You may quote up to 150 words with attribution and a link back to the original article. Reproduction of full articles requires written permission.
8. DMCA and Copyright Infringement
FreeToolKit respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a notice to hello@freetoolkit.io with:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The specific URL on FreeToolKit where the allegedly infringing material appears.
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
We will investigate valid DMCA notices and remove infringing content promptly.
9. Affiliate Disclosure
Some pages on FreeToolKit.io contain affiliate links to third-party products and services. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships are disclosed with a visible banner on pages where they appear.
Our editorial content, tool recommendations, and blog guides are editorially independent from affiliate relationships. We do not receive payment to feature, recommend, or positively review any product or service. Affiliate programs are selected based on relevance to our audience, not commission rates.
10. Advertising
FreeToolKit displays advertising served by Google AdSense and potentially other advertising networks. Advertisers are responsible for the content and claims in their ads. FreeToolKit does not endorse the products or services advertised. Advertising is clearly distinguished from editorial content on the Site.
We participate in Google Consent Mode v2. Users in jurisdictions covered by GDPR, CCPA, and equivalent privacy laws are presented with a consent banner before advertising cookies are activated. You may withdraw consent at any time. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.
11. Third-Party Services and Links
Certain tools connect to third-party services: the currency converter uses a live exchange rate API, AI tools send submitted text to the Anthropic Claude API, and the IP address lookup queries a geolocation database. Use of these tool features is subject to the relevant third-party provider's terms of service, which we link to where applicable.
FreeToolKit may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the accuracy, content, privacy practices, or availability of linked sites. Links are provided for convenience only and do not constitute endorsement.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when the Terms were last revised. For material changes that affect your rights, we will post a notice on the Site's homepage for at least 30 days before the revised Terms take effect. Continued use of FreeToolKit after the effective date of any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration before a mutually agreed arbitrator. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to protect intellectual property rights or prevent irreparable harm.
